Instructions for Abstract Submission

Thank you for choosing to submit an abstract for the EBMA 2026 Conference.

Abstracts can be submitted for Short PresentationPoster Presentation and also as Workshops. Abstracts must be submitted through the submission portal provided on this website, otherwise they will not be considered.

The deadline for abstract submission is 16 August 2026.

Main author notification will be on, or before, 18 September 2026.

Authors who require a longer period of time to apply and obtain a visa to the United Kingdom may select the option to have their abstract considered early, there is a box to select this option when you submit. Early author notification will be on 26 July 2026.

We are particularly interested in abstracts that address developments in assessment with the advent of new ways of working, including the rise of AI and the benefits and pitfalls this is bringing, but welcome submissions of all interests in assessment in health professions.

For Short or Poster Presentation: Title, Authors, Abstract (Background, Summary of work, Summary of results, Discussion & Conclusion, Take-Home Message, References).

For Workshops: Title, Authors, Abstract (Background, Learning objectives, Workshop Structure, Take-Home Message).

Abstracts should be no longer than 350 words, can include up to 3 references (optional). You can include a maximum of 5 Keywords.
